Nice shot PA.
I've had another one germinate this week, ten months after sowing.

Thanks all, 10 months M thats patience!

They've been germinating at the rate of about one a month PA. I lost a couple of seedlings due to overwatering, and have shared the others out.

Thats interesting are they all in one tray or seperate pots?
18 Aug, 2011
They were all in one pot and I pick them out as soon as they are upright. There's only two more left, so I'll probably not prick this one out.

Just a thought, as they were germinating one a month was the one germinating releasing something to stop the others to reduce compatition, would they have all germinated quicker in seperate pots. I have no scientific knowledge for this just seemed odd they were spaced out like that. Does anyone have anymore information?

An answer to that would be way beyond my knowledge! I'd put it down to the difference in size of the seeds........

I think it originates from Asia, it will take some frost but is not fully hardy.
