Bit disappointed Michaella...has lovely mix of pale green foliage combined with the red...didn't capture it sadly...It is a lovely Acer...

The background sets it off well , and it looks fine ; a shame if its not giving full justice though .

Sometimes the camera does lie. I know. it is difficult to capture some reds on the digital cameras, well the digital cameras which I can afford anyway. lol. It is a lovely Acer though after saying that it really looks lovely there.

I agree it is so difficult to catch but such a lovely Acer...It's called 'Beni Komanchi'....I think I've spelled it right....
I've always liked it near the Pond...hope when we extend the Pond across to the Woodland Bed, there will still be a place nearby for it....

Sue, wait for a cloudy day and use your flash. MIGHT work out.
Trash guys just took all the storm damage. Next move will be mow the back yard- which I think will happen tomorrow. I just opened a Dove small chocolate treat and it said TAKE the rest of the day off.. I'm all over that. *-)

That is a beautiful japanese maple variety, one of my favorites! I think the picture came out great, I can see all the colors on the leaves. I looked this variety up and its name means "red beautiful little girl". Fitting name isn't it?
