This is the last one standing here. I saw Frans Hals yesterday when I was at Silica, didn't buy it though.

Aren't the Day Lilies such a life saver in the garden at this time of year?

Mine are just about finished now Linda, again the lack of rain caused the plants to shut down and go to seed early. Rudbekkias still flowering and Anemones still looking lovely, but this is the last Day Lily in flower, think there are odd ones but this has been late flowering and still a few buds left to come out on it. I do love my Day Lillies, such vibrant flowers.

I love day lilies but I don't seem to get many flowers off them even though I deadhead them straightaway.Perhaps its because they are slightly in the shade.You must have been out there with your brolly Olive. Has it stopped raining yet?

yes it has stopped now Rose, it is all good. Quite a breeze blowing but nice and bright. How long have you had your lily in for, some of mine do not do too well either. I have an orange double which is amazing but this year has not been quite as good as it was last. Think the cold weather over winter must have affected it.

I had some in for years and then decided to move them to the allotment hoping they would do better there,I even split them but still not many flowers. I bought a new one this year but haven't had a single flower yet.
