Nearly all finished now :-( in fact not many of the rebloomers are reblooming either, so this was a very welcome sight this morning, lots of buds to come too.

Another stunner, not one of mine this year has flowered.

No Karen they've been wonderful but usually have quite a lot that rebloom and they don't seem to want to this year,a few are but not as good as last year, must be all that dry weather we've had.
Thankyou Sixpence :-), shame yours haven't flowered, wonder why ?

I don't know I only have 3 all in different parts of the garden too one where its dryish soil in sun one in dapple shade and one in shade which normally always flowers
3 Sep, 2011
Now thats unusual would have thought the one in shade would be the one that didn't flower :-), are they large clumps Sixpence ? if the clumps get too large they tend to stop flowering, best to divide every 2-3 years, also I have a few temperamental ones that don't flower the first year after dividing, they don't mind which soil so can't see it being that.

Thanks for that info Simbad, mine are small clumps, wonder if they are sulking because I gave my large one away their mate lol, I was thinking more the weather as its been very dry here.

Oh Simbad this is stunning....:>)

Thats probably the reason Sixpence,lol.
Thanks Motinot :-), I've been really good just lately hardly bought any new ones, but in a moment of weakness last night I found I'd clicked the buy it now button on ebay, twice!!!, don't know how that happened, lol.

I know how you feel, Simbad - mine arrived today, and includes the double 'Diane Taylor', and a quilled crispate 'Lunacy'.
6 Sep, 2011
Mine came today too Wylie I got 'Quilt Patch' and 'Morning Breaking', huge plants, supposed to be double fans but both have 4 , really pleased.
I have 'Diane Taylor' too it has flowered this year and still has buds now, trouble is it seems to be spoiled by the rain, and every time a flower opened it rained!!!! also a lot didn't open fully, is its first year though so see how it performs next year, does have lots of proliferations one even had a tiny flower bud, never had that before.
Just looked at 'Lunacy' on tinkers wow thats a beauty, not one I've ever seen for sale, I'll be looking out for your pictures of it next year :-)
Have you seen Polliesdaylilies pictures on here ? she has a fabulous one called 'Terry Lyninger' never seen one quite like it.

Last year when I got some seeds from The LilyAuction, one of the bonuses was a cross of Becky Lynn X Terry Lyninger. T.L. is a real nice one. This year I am going for some darker crosses: Apophis X Ashee Dashee (I'm hoping for a very large double blackish result) and Sable Night X Hooded Cobra (H.C. is supposed to have a lot of children that are polys, and it's a brown with black eye). I am going to post a photo you might like - a one off of 'Little Grapette'. Your 'Quilt Patch' looks very interesting.

Think Terry Lyninger must be a fairly new one for Pollie, its not in her catalogue yet, think I'll ask her to put my name on the waiting list though, lucky you getting the crosses from it, they should be interesting.
Just googled your crosses very nice, Hooded Cobra's a stunner, and love Ashee Dashee that should be a great cross if it turns out how you want, fingers crossed.
I have a great one that had loads of polytepal flowers this year 'Freewheelin' , think it does have a tendancy for them from what I've read, mind you its been a strange year this year loads of polytepal flowers and a lot of members of the BHHS have reported lots of cases of strange fasciation too.
Yes I love Quilt Patch hope it looks as good as the pictures I've seen, roll on next summer :-)
Off to look at your pictures now.

My, my! It reminds me of my new seedling "a gift for you". But this one is certainly larger. I think it's cute!
