A picture before next week's makeover. Rather disappointed with this border. Some plants are not getting enough sun and others are being swamped out by those which are doing well!
Didn't think this one through before planting - we live and learn!!

I've got some new shrubs - painted up some old and new trellis - remove some of the gravel to round off the edge near the path - move plants around - plant some bulbs - paint the fence - don't think it will be blue and white when I'm finished!!
I'm on annual leave for 2 weeks - so plenty of time, providing I get peace and quite to do it...asked my son to bring in post mix, posts and lots of other stuff from the car earlier today, so I won't see him much over the next few days :))))

Hi, I was trying to see if you had posted a pic of the border after its makeover. I couldn't see one - so forgive my ignorance. We had a border that didn't quite sit right. We doubled its depth by creating a bulge, taking away a bit of lawn. The extra space gave the border more body and made it look less linear. The plants all look healthy so they are obviously happy where they are. You could also maybe treat yourself to a single larger plant... that would instantly create an impression. Good luck :o)

Hi Treeman....I did post the transformation - you will find it in one of my blogs. I think it's under the title 'I'm just going to fix that trellis'.
As you can see in the picture above the trellis had already been taken down off the fence. I think I am quite pleased with the difference I have made - although I won't really know till everything comes back in spring/summer.
Thank you for you comments and stopping by :)
