'Specially with that yellow throat! :)

Thank you!
To be honest, I'll probably be giving it away next summer! It's not that I dislike it, just that the space will be needed for something else.........

next years list full already meanie?

5 Sep, 2011

Very nice! I saw a house today with hundreds of these Mandivilla growing around it...I wish I took a photo! Many Mandevilla hybrids are commonly grown as ground cover here.

The list continues to grow Sticki - unfortunately the same cannot be said of the space!!
That sounds good Delonix!

6 Sep, 2011

oh no! think you will have to look for places around where you live that need a plant!!??

6 Sep, 2011

My sister wants this one Sticki - should be a good sized plant by then.

6 Sep, 2011

your sister has good taste!!

6 Sep, 2011

I've taught her well!

6 Sep, 2011

so i see ~ never doubted it!!
what has she taught you?

6 Sep, 2011

beautiful!!!!!

6 Sep, 2011

Naff all Sticki - she don't drink, never did drugs (not that I'm proud of it), can't cook a curry, won't fly or go on motorways, never even been done for speeding! Good at housework though!!!

Thanks Paul!

:))))))))))

6 Sep, 2011

oh no!! made me laugh! i hate housework! and i have been done for speeding. oh and i can cook a good curry. never done drugs tho ~ nor smoked. [very very strict upbringing!]

6 Sep, 2011

Me too - so I always made a point of doing everything that I was told not to! Theory was that if adults said "don't" it was probably because they didn't want us to enjoy ourselves!!!

6 Sep, 2011

that would be correct ~ but it took me a long time [too long] to find that out.

i so wish i had done things differently.

6 Sep, 2011

A beauty and a bargain.

6 Sep, 2011

It surely was, although it was a bit sad looking when I got it!

6 Sep, 2011

Well its cheerful now

Meanie:

Are you growing this plant as a vine or shrub?

7 Sep, 2011

I'm growing it as a vine Delonix.

7 Sep, 2011

That should look good. I have my Mandevilla 'Red Riding Hood' growing as a small shrub.

Sorry for butting in Meanie but to an old fashioned person like me, your sis sounds very nice.

Not sure of the size of this flower but looks like some of the Episcia flowers. Are you having a greenhouse Meanie? I am wondering how you can get such bright colors indoors. Your pictures are good enough for a plant book of your own. I used to buy a lot of plant books those days. They are still helpful even with the internet. Lots of questions...........

She is nice Vavilla, just boring!!

It's growing in the conservatory, so it gets plenty of light. I'm also pretty good about feeding it regularly.
I have sold some photos to a company that makes plant labels. Here are a couple..............

Brothers finding their sisters boring is a very common thing..

Found some photos Meanie but are you going by this same name?

9 Sep, 2011

those photos are just fabulous.

Saw your Mandevilla- very clear and nice... like you have dipped them in red paint! Did you?

the white one ...is it called Snow drops or something similar?........Once again very nice..very clear.....cleverer than I thought!
but didn't see any names.......the flower names or the owners name. Or am I not seeing things well either?
Anyway the pictures are very nice. should be in a botany book.

Looking for Ixora names I saw on this site someone had put a picture of Jatropha as ixora....
