Forgot to add, she eats him afterwards...I don't know whether she's on her second victim, but we found the outside complete skin of another, just a few feet away...Must go look and see if they're still there...:)))

Hi Sue,
we have one female that hangs around the front of the house. hubs is the one who keeps an eye out for them, I sort of discover her while weeding! Rather startling!
the last few years we have had egg sacks, they look a lot like dried leaves on the pruned back hemlock. I never get to see the babies, only the empty sack. I have never seen the male about, but as she will eat him afterwards, I guess you have to look quickly.
Lucky you to see him and her in ACTION, and capture it on film. You need to be a photographer for the green planet or the nature channel!
about done cleaning up the house from the weekend waters, NOW for the garden this week. AH.. homeowning... hubs will be here Friday, his list is growing longer and longer! 8-)). keep him busy helping.

Hi I...good to hear from you...was off for a coupe of days, our Anniversary yesterday, so we planned loads, but it rained, still had an enjoyable time, going out when the weather dries up to walk aound the GC see what's on offer....
The Female Preying Mantis mainly are the ones that we see in the garden, and yes I've been startled a few times while dead heading etc...I posted a litttle collage of pics with one that OH found in the house...:))) lol...a bit further back...recently...
Great news OH is due home...bout time eh lol...I bet you have your little list ready :)))...have you a gathering organised...
