Blooming marvelous Lil love your style:) Last night got some tiles from a tile shop that they were sending back to the manufacturers mainly beige and white and and a few brown. Tonight I am going to another tile place that is closing for a refurb and they will be selling stuff off cheap or might be giving samples away, and I have found a site online called Mosaic Heaven so I am ordering some stuff which is very cheap from them. Once I have a few colours together I will give it a go:)

Thanks Nana!! I think you'll love doing it. Just remember that IF your 1st attempt is not successful, try another one remembering what you would have done differently.
I love doing these as you get really immersed in the process and the world 'disappears'. Also feel quite proud afterwards :):)

Hi Lil off to builders merchant tonight is it exterior tile adhesive and grout you use?? Been waiting for a my wheel glass cutter to arrive that arrived last night and I was cutting .....and my finger must get some gloves tonight:)

Yes Nana, the adhesive should definitely be for exterior and my understanding with the grout is as long as it is unsanded bc you will be using glass. What base are you using?
Definitely wear gloves when you are grouting as well! My fingers have been hacked to bits! I think it ultimately comes with the territory :)

Thanks for getting back to me so quick, I am using a stepping stone that I got from the builders merchants and I will be using a selection of glass and ceramic tiles got a grout the colour of sandstone because I thought white might not look too good for what I am doing but I notice you have managed to colour your grout which looks really effective. If I enjoy doing this might have to look at different grouting colours. Just got to lug the stepping stone out of the car decided the kitchen table covered with plastic and a towel (its a new table) will be my place to do it cos the lighting in the garage is rubbish and it gets a bit cold out there!

I hope you've done the cutting outdoors! I was working on my deck and am still finding tiny slivers of glass....the hard way! :)
