Thanks all - it was the colours on the lip that made me pay a little extra for this!
Sticki - I only cut the stems when they start to grow brown. Quite often they'll take a rest and then get going again.

ah, ok, thank you. Most of the stems already have a new shoot on which i am pleased about ~ not as spectacular as
Phalaenopsis Yu Pin Pearl though.

It's funny >Meanie, the first glimpse of this pic, and I thought, this looks like a Hoverfly ...wasn't till I read the posts, that it turned out to be a Moth Orchid....never seen one before...or if I have I don't remember...nice one...:)))

Phalaenopsis is probably the most common orchid for sale Crissue! I do think that this is a bit of a stand out though.......

It really does, I wouldn't even attempt to grow Orchids, it would die in my hands...not good with indoor plants at all...

These are a piece of wee-wee Crissue!
Water once a week and provide humidity - that's it!

Your welcome Meanie.:o))

I found them very easy to grow as well - as you said - water them once a week, bit of moisture - mine are in the kitchen, west facing but huge trees blocking most of the afternoon sun - they love it there. Just remember about the right compost -special one for orchids, lol. And you won't fail growing them. And what a fantastic colours, lol. Mine are mostly white..
