A lovely deep dark red climbing rose. Nice perfume too. Great for a North Wall as it tolerates lots of shade.

You won't be disappointed Michaella...spray it for Mildew though. The flowers are fairly small, but aren't they beautiful!

Did you get one of this Mum?

No I didn't I have decided on the list it is Wollerton Old Hall,
Etoille de Holland, Pauls Lemon Pillar (for obvious reasons)
Munstead Wood, Sharifa Asma, Miss Alice, Brother Cadfael.
But have got to move an arch which I want to put up by the metal bench so think I might go with that one for up there, it is a little shadier area because it is nearer the hedge. How tall does it get please.

3m high, 2m wide .....would be perfect for an arch....to train over the top.

A stunner for sure Karen...

Karen going to put some pictures of the arch and seat, moved the arch on Sunday, put the slabs and pebbles in this morning, all ready for the Docteur. I love the colour and if it is as strong a perfume for me I shall love to sit by the side of it. Another for the list eh!!

I got this one from Crocus. Sounds lovely, the arch over the seat.

It is on my list Karen thank you.

Ive had this twice..the first time with rampant mildew and didnt survive the winter. This time I have put it where there is a good airflow (its in a pot at present) and its doing very well. Not a mass of blooms yet, but they are dainty, beautifully formed and have a colour and perfume to die for!
Its well worth the extra care.

Yes, this is the only rose in my garden that has been sprayed twice for mildew!
