Another lovely spot. I do love the colours you are using on your paintwork here, & in other parts of the garden. I really enjoy bold colours on houses/garages/sheds etc .... have to persuade my OH though. He enjoys the rich colours I used on the walls in the house, but gets quite twitchy when I make overt murmerings about lilac front door with lemon exterior walls & navy window & bargeboard trims. Is that thyme or chamomile you have growing between the paving?

i'm pretty sure it's thyme, altho it has been overtaken by the salvia this year. as to paint colors, in one way i am lucky to have an OH who doesn't care what color i paint things as long he doesn't have to give an opinion...lol! i'm pretty sure the neighbors give directions to their home by using my purple gates as a driving reference... your color scheme sounds delicious, dwyllis.

I was wondering if the reason this works so well is the cream walls framing the door? I think perhaps with brick it would not be so good?

You have posted some delightful photos of your lovely garden, makes me want to sit awhile and ponder! What do you grow between your paving as it looks great?
