Aww .... don't they love that catmint! I intend lining one of my new paths (when it gets done), with catmint along either side. My 13 year old girl Rosie will no doubt crush it all down in her enthusiasm.

Do cats like catmint? This is the second photo on which I see absolutely relaxed cat on this plant.

Nepeta (common name Catmint) has always attracted cats, it gives off an aroma that seems to entice them !

My cats like lavender aroma, clustering in the afternon around the bush and smiling like this cat. Fact is, I never had nepeta in the garden. Will have to look for some in the spring.

hi, thank you for the nice comments...sorry to take so long to acknowledge them. my black kitties are some of the sweetest of all...what a shame they are usually the last to find homes. my cats love catnip, of course, which they tend to eat whole like having a salad (which is why i tried to hang it up); they enjoy the nepeta/catmint; and i caught a few of them eating germander (?).
