Is it a perennial Crissue? Many of them are described as annuals or short lived perennials.

Hi Scotsgran I think they can be ify, I have lost mine in the past, Every time I buy I go for the Perennial, but i've still lost out at times...I wonder if its worth lifting and overwintering under cover...Wonder what other GOYers think....!!

Mines been going 3 years now and 2 freezing winters..........fingers x'ed for this winter!

What to do eh Lulu...We get cold and frost, but our Winters are more dry than the UK...so just luck sometimes I think...

This one is very hardy but not surprising given that it comes from the Caucasus and Siberia. I think it is all the new ones that are a bit suspect.

Morning Scotsgran....I had a read up myself, and i'm inclined to agree with you...At least I think the Chile black will have to come in...

I dislike things which have to come in. I prefer hardy plants. I did see a blue wild flower scabious somewhere on the net but have not been able to find it again.

I know what you mean, I've only got a small Sun Room, where we sit and can see the garden, and its got plants growing, seeds germinating, and gradually filling up with Grasses, that are half hardy...soon there'll be no room for us...:))))

That is exactly what I mean. We don't have a heated green house and no sun room and the kitchen window sill is full of cactus plants.

:)))) and I meant to add the cats like their spot out there too, usually pinching our seats...it's going to get tight very soon...
21 Sep, 2011
You need a bigger sun room Crissue.

I've been thinking of borrowing the Window end of the spare bedroom Sg.....and borrowing a Table from the Caravan...to help out...got to do something lol....
22 Sep, 2011
I am too weak willed to do things like that.
