Yes - I'd wanted to grow them, but I was always too late looking for them to plant. Last year I managed it! :-))
Note to self: start looking in August!

Pp - it's a bulb that flowers in the autumn. The name is a bit confusing, isn't it! The flower is about 4" across.
I think it's a beauty! :-)

LOVELY, Barbara . . . the most beautiful Colchicum I've ever seen. Will write similar "note to self" for next August!!

:-))) It's got to be then - once the month slips by, the poor bulbs start to produce the flowers in the packaging!
Oh, and it now has FIVE flowers! :-)

Who's John?
24 Sep, 2011
Spritz - John Massey (I think that's his surname) runs Ashwood Nurseries in the West Midlands . . . I think both Sticki and I have done blogs. Wonderful nursery, and his own garden is lovely, and just open a few times each year.
That's nice, Sticki! :))
