There is a band of maples along the ridge..but the trees which are still green are the oaks ...they colour later and are a dull (by comparison) reddish/bronze at the same time as the aspen which are a bright brassy yellow! lovely colour combo. Even the autumn has it's stages and not all the leaves fall at the same time. It's such a treat.
