Salvia Identification Please - from Sinbad

I'm no expert.....but these leaves remind me of gerbera.....have you grown any from seed?

No Amblealice they were sent to me as Salvia, unless they were put in with the others by error, do you have a picture of Gerbera so I could compare?

Don't think thats salvia Carole, think it was salvia sclarea I sent wasn't it, but think I sent you seed of francoa sonchifolia? which it does look like, usually forms rosettes the first year then from next year it sends up tall wiry stems 3ft tall with pink flecked white flowers :-)

Thanks Sinbad and Amberalice, just pleased to have a name, the other Salvia sclarea was all eaten by slugs but lots of Francoa to look forward to next year ;0)

Shame about the sclarea Carole, I can send you some more if you like, been collecting again :-), I have 3 varieties now 'Turkestanica' 'Piemont' and 'Alba' which I'm still trying to decide if I like, not as white as I expected in fact don't think it looks a deal different from 'Turkestanica'.

Would love to try them again please Simbad, will grow in pots this time until they are established , easier to protect from slugs that way. Apologize for spelling your name wrong!!

Aww thanks Kathy I must have at least a dozen strong Francoa which I thought was Salvia, so a a bonus!!
