Courting Butterflies

how beautiful!! butterflies seem to fly away the second i take a step towards them.

Wonderful blue, aren't they, Motinot. Small size, like a cabbage white, I've seen them down by the river. There was a lake to the side here.

Thank you TT. I had never seen these subtle differences between this courting set before this. I'd never thought there would be a difference.

What size were these butterflies ?

Oh, they are small, like a cabbage white. 2 centimeters I would say across the wingspan.

Hi Greentumb, I found this photo just today. Are you able to recognize Adam from Eve?

The darker one was always chasing the lighter. I guessed he would be chasing, though males are often brighter, at least with birds.
