Not a big fan of ants dont think I'll be making an exception of this one he looks a bit mean lol. :o)

Ouch! If he gets you :). Do they have termites there Karen?

7 Oct, 2011

good lord! you're the beastie lady right enough!

It's the red ones in the sand I'm scared of...they definitely bite! This one seems to just live on the wall...

Haven't seen any evidence of termites, so far, Scottish...they probably don't get a chance to build their mounds before the rain washes them away!!

Exterminate!~~~

I think this one hunts mosquitoes and other small flying things on the wall, along with the wee spider...

It's the red ones that HAVE TO GO!!!!

8 Oct, 2011

how can you get rid of them?

8 Oct, 2011

I dkn...but there's a spray called 'Doom'...! :)))

8 Oct, 2011

omg LOL!

8 Oct, 2011

I've just read a novel set in Africa, and in it, a lady steps in a red ants nest accidentally.....not good....they are very aggressive aren't they....take care and definitely get some 'Doom'!!

8 Oct, 2011

Yes Karen...all I did was try to get some soil into the roots and they ran up my hand and bit me!!!

'Doom' added to shopping list for this afternoon!

The flight of the termite is amazing Karen...I'm sure they will be there somewhere. When they hatch, at night, it looks like a snow storm. You know when you are driving and the snow is like asteroids in space....once they land on the ground they lose their wings and crawl away, that's the yukky bit!!
Do they regularly spray the houses over there Karen?
I'm being careful what I say....don't want to give you the heeby jeebys :))
The rain came back today, with a vengence!!!!

8 Oct, 2011

It's strange, Scottish...there aren't very many critters, at all! Maybe that's just because it's been the rainy season and total flooding....??

Or that the whole city is so toxic that nothing much can live in it! lol!!!

The later me thinks Karen...Metro Manila the same - except the cockroaches!!!!!!!!
I once got my brothers maids out their bed at 3am to spray the bathroom, there was the tiniest and i mean tiny cockroach on the bathroom floor and I was freaking out. My nephew use to go find them and chase my mother with them. Goodness - I have a million cockroach stories, better stop now :))

12 Oct, 2011

Ah! Know what you mean...had one in the bathroom this morning...about 6cms long...and now very very flat!!! Yuk! Cockroaches are the worst...well, apart from red ants and button spiders...........! :))

13 Oct, 2011

don't squish them Karen - they carry their babies underneath and if you squish and they have babies.....they will all come out if they are ready to hatch!
Buy a spray

13 Oct, 2011

OMG! Go back to France! lol

13 Oct, 2011

It sounds worse than it is Pixi ;)

13 Oct, 2011

Hope so..I worry :)

13 Oct, 2011

If my mother can survive in a similar environment....then Karen will be hunkydory!!

13 Oct, 2011

I dont think I would! lol

13 Oct, 2011

OMG, DOUBLE YUK, Scottish!!!!! That's more than I need to know about cockroaches! lol!!!

We are going to get all the sprays for outdoors and indoors at the weekend........!

Strange how the insect life is multiplying now that the rains are easing off............

I don't think that you'd like it here, Pixi........... :(
