Barleria oenotheroides - Giant Yellow Shrimp Plant

A new addition to the family from Kartuz Greenhouses. This small very tender shrub native to Columbia blooms in winter. The flowers fade from yellow to very dark purple. Photo taken Oct. 18, 2011.

Now I need to find a place to plant it in the ground. It's only suppose to grow to 5ft/1.5m tall.

I'm pretty lucky here in San Diego, we have a really nice mild subtropical climate...no frost and hot to warm temps all year. I can grow many tropical plants outside in the ground here... and have many. :>)
