Ive been trying to get a Banana for weeks to finish my tropical corner, I phoned Peter barrets yesterday and they finally had them in, when i got there they had 2 Ha! Waist high in the pot, (im 5ft 4") £30. 00.. No way im paying that, for a plant that might not survive the winter, so went to dobbies, 2 sizes, Largish (5ft 4"haha)£60.00..or small, really small, £10.00. so a tenner I paid, A bit Pathetic really, I hope it grows.. Comments Appreciated :)

You'll be glad you got a small one because now you'll be able to see it progress and become an adult. You'll love it more after nurturing and caring for it over the years : )

I often go for small plants.I think they tend to settle in better than larger plants.Just need a bit more patience.

I read Alan Titchmarsh in a magazine. He said his worst mistake was buying plants too big. He said the little ones always catch up with the big ones and it's a waste of money buying big things. It certainly is at £60!! Dobbies are having a laugh aren't they? Gone right downhill since Tesco took over. No interesting plants at all any more...I'm quite cross about it!
