Costas1, there's always something beautiful about any spot in the world. My particular spot has the most gorgeous winter weather and some fascinating wildlife. I'm also lucky enough to be able to grow these beauties.

Marguerite, I don't usually bring the Asiatics into the house as cut flowers, but I do bring the Orientals in. The first bloom on those should be open tomorrow and I'll be whisking it into the house!

Yes you're right. I have been adding. My hubbie thinks I'm getting a little carried away and when I do bring another poor lonely plant home he always asks where it's going to go! Of course so many of the plants just keep going on from year to year as well.

No dam and no rainwater. The rainwater tank is now old and rusty and useless. I've become very good at mixing up a waterwise potting mix and it definitely makes a difference.

Beautiful. I was asked many times by my godfather who lived in Melbourne to come and live in Australia. I declined and I now see what I am missing.
