Oh my thats a great plant - It reminds me of Medusa! but her head was snakes and not so pretty.

I think it a species of Rochea. It's a very common plant in people's gardens here in San Diego, CA.

It's a really common plant here...and extremely easy to grow from cuttings. It should grow very well where you live.

no they are not...but they do flower just with our climate things like this flower so randomly....i think this one usualy flowers in the spring after its been in the heated room all winter....

Do most of the Crassula species bloom in spring?
Most species of Crassula bloom in fall or winter, here in San Diego. Soon the large jade shrubs will be blooming.

mine enjoy the outside in the summer i bring them inside for winter and with the heating on it extends the summer but with the light levels falling it takes them longer. i have an aeonium starting to flower now. it will be lovely by christmas...lol

That's great your Aeonium is blooming now. They won't start blooming here until mid - late January.
