I took these cuttings earlier in the year and they have turned this lovely colour. The ones planted in the ground are still green. I wonder why?

If its not because you used an acid compost? I wonder if it is because the ground is warmer than the pots and the pots have chilled and got them ready for winter earlier? Whatever, very pretty colour.

What lovely colours I wonder whether its anything to do with your soil?

It is most likely starvation, I would think. I used to get this effect on cuttings left in trays for too long.

Ouch, now I feel really guilty, Vincent! I will get them into bigger pots or even into the garden if we get a fine day this week. Thanks for your help :)

It won't hurt them to leave them until spring, nothing going to happen till then. Guilt? ha ha. I have had hundreds of similar, they grow away grand in spring.

What else?
See who else is growing Lonicera nitida (Shrubby honeysuckle).
See who else has plants in genus Lonicera.
