And mine...I hate these damp dark days..I prefer the frost we had this morning...we have had to have the lamp on since 2pm..this is a typical November day here :o(

Wonderful tree ... grey & dull all day down here ... then our power supply cut out just as I had de-frosted the freezer! ... Off to hibernate now ... :o)

Oh dear,Shirley..one of THOSE days.! I haven't had one for a while, but it surely won't be long..Russell had one today..all my fault..naturally .Lol.I went to our retired colleagues coffee morning, and OH said he was going to sweep up all the Sycamore leaves up..again..on our road in the front, and said to lock the front door on my way out...which I did.(dutiful wife) .:o).Left the Conservatory door open of course....but locked the inner door out of habit..suffice to say,he couldn't get in,and he was meeting me afterwards in town,to have a sandwich....He remembered our neighbour had a front door key,so just had time to get out of his gardening stuff, and met me as arranged ! His first comment was" It wasn't funny, but this will make you laugh " ..and I did ....for ages, everytime I thought of it....we are still friends .:o))

Oh dear, Sandra ... poor man could have been sweeping the street for hours if the neighbour had been out! ... Turns out the RCD point in the kitchen blew up ... tripped the switch ... so our very kind electrician just called in to make it safe until tomorrow. I only use it for plugging in the lawnmower so it's not urgent! ... Sorry for hijacking your pic, Grandmage! ... :o)))

I could say,it keeps him off the streets..Lol.Glad you got your problem sorted with the plug...and may all your frozen stuff stay frozen ,Shirley.:o)
The council,Grandmage ,who are they ??? They never come near to do jobs like this..and we have a lot of elderly and infirm neighbours..We do it every year,so no one will fall, especially when they are wet..I think someone got in touch last year..and they came...when they were all cleared.Typical..grrr.

What do we pay rates for I ask? Obviously not for clearing leaves! Well done you two for making a nice safe environment for your neighbours. :~)

It is a huge tree..which someone had a TPO put on it..but it should have been pruned back before that..it is overhanging so much now, that if it fell,it would land on one of the bungalows,I'm sure...I love trees, but at a safe distance..and the person who had the order put on, can't
even see it from where she lives..We dispose of all the leaves in the wild area behind our fence,so they are doing some good to the soil,at least...many more trips to go yet :o)

Well done B. I bet you love your neighbour!!!
