Rosa Rugosa,'Hansa' in the Box

Rosa Rugosa,'Hansa' in the Box (Rosa rugosa (Rugosa rose))

In case you wondered what the box in front is, there is a blue box up on in the corner of the yard by the road. I've never had anything do really well that I put there, but this will I think. A little spare this year, as it shocked, being placed here, but should come back strong net year. No clean up, the moose ate off everything green after the first few weeks of frost. (It was still blooming right through that weather)

Thanks. :-) It does get large and bright hips, but our season here rarely ripens them. Seems our summers are getting longer by the year. Also, this rose can dip to -40C, very hardy. Not sure how tough it is to moisture though, we have little here.

That is the truth. But I would guess if roses like your garden, this one will do wonderfully. Closer relation to the dog rose than the fancy hybrids.
