Which Plumeria are they Alex?

I have 2 Plumeria 'CRYSTAL PALACE' , 1 PLUMERIA 'MAI THAI' and 2 PLUMERIA 'CELADINE'

This one is either the Crystal palace or the Celadine....mixed up the labels. They grow a little different ...one type is taller with less leaves and this one is a little shorter but has more leaves.

I have another six seedling I started in September, different to these.

Mai Thai is outstanding!

The baby Plumeria's are:

Plumeria "Mayan Gold"
Plumeria "Dosy" White
Plumeria "Toffie"
Plumeria "Black Tiger"

It looks great! I have a feeling it'll be blooming next year. You definitely have the heat to successfully grow this tree.

I hope they do bloom next year. I wonder why people don't grow them here?!?!? Maybe they grow in the south of Greece??? The next time we drive to Athens I'm going to be on Plumeria look out.

Answering your question about how we drive to Athens: We cross over to the mainland by ferry then drive drive drive then cross over again by ferry or by the new bridge (gorgeous bridge). Most people use the bridge now, faster and you don't have to get out of your car. A lot more expensive though.

I think the reason why Plumeria trees don't grow there widely is: because, you receive a lot of rain during the winter. (I think I read about 25in/65cm, is this correct?).
This much rain, falling in winter is very detrimental to plumeria health...they rot and die very easily when it's very wet and cool, when the trees are dormant.

When I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, the rain in winter was the big problem for plumerias. I could grow them outside, as long as I could keep them dry. (where I lived in Fremont, the rainfall was about 17in/43cm a year).

Here in San Diego the normal rainfall is about 10in/25cm and in most years we're lucky to even receive this amount of rain. In some drought years we've only received 3.25in/8.25cm of rain.

The trip to Athens sounds like a fun adventure. :>) I wish I could go!

10ºC is not too bad, we some early mornings the beginning of last week when it was 8ºC.(kind of unusual). We had a vigorous cold front move down to the South-land, from the Gulf of Alaska last week, it really cooled us down...everyone was complaining. Typically, November is the sunniest month of the year and it tends to be quite warm. Luckily, the last 3 days have been very nice around 74ºF/23ºC during the day (we did have a lot of rain here this past Saturday, though).

Do I plant mine in the garden or leave them in pots???

I think I will plant one in the garden and see how it likes the winters here.

It depends on how wet your soil stays in winter. Do you receive 25in/65cm of rain a year?

The slope you showed with many of your plants looks like a terrific place to plant a plumeria tree.

I really don't know how much rain we get....and it's different every year.

It's not really a slope....but that's were I was thinking about planting it. It's the most protected area BUT I receive my other neighbours rain water.
I will just have to look at the soil this winter and see where my driest spot is.

If you have an overhang where it stays dry, most likely that would be the best place for a plumeria tree.
