I just added this pretty trellis to the front of the house. To provide support for the Pixie Clematis bought last month.

Thanks Pimp! I will have a think about that, I do tend to overcook things. Asymmetry is a good word!

Poppy your Clematis pixie is a form of Clematis Cartmanii, grows wild in New Zealand in a white form there, it grows through bushes and over rocks is not a natural climber it will probably need tying up and allowed to fall forward to look its best,I have grown it as an Alpine in the past,Very pretty it is .

Hi Bjs
Yes I have just checked the label. It is maybe a bit small for this particular place. Thanks for the tip I will try that idea. If it doesn't work out I will try it in a pot on top of a chimney and let it trail down. I just wanted to try something by the front door to give a bit of winter/early spring interest. Ill put another pic on in the spring when hopefully it will be flowering.

ah..in that other pot you could train another Pixie but across to the left rather than up. Maintaining the harmony...?
