This beautiful orchid is in the Botanical Building, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. Photo taken Nov. 14, 2011.

Most likely it's a hybrid. Virtually, all the orchids sold here are hybrids.

It certainly looks like Dendrobium phalaenopsis, although I'm not sure that the blue colour makes it a true species. Could be a hybrid with some Dendrobium victoriae-reginae in there maybe............
