I bought my first Salvias this year M and found the slugs and snails left well alone...probably coz they were too busy with other things! Plant a wee thing nearby that they will prefer!!

Hope it comes through the winter for you Ml. Salvias are a really popular plant on Goy along with heucheras. I love the blue flowered ones especially.
