hahah and he wants to live by the sea..maybe in a land called honalee?
Great pic Bloomer! :)

21 Nov, 2011

..or Cromer ? Doesn't quite have the same ring to it though..:o))

22 Nov, 2011

Oh aye! lol
Now all sing along..you know the tune!

Paul the magic GOyer
Didnt live by the sea
He wanted to go to Cromar
and not to Honalee

He hoped he see a dragon
But there were none to see
Then one day a pixi drew
One for him for a fee! lol

Paul he loved that dragon
Might put it in a frame
Then looked on Goy next day
and found one much the same

Which one would he go for
First one or the last
Pixi waits around to see
Now her spell is cast!

That is a late surprise Sandra .. very nice :o))

22 Nov, 2011

They are very pretty and are prolific flowerers, you are lucky to have it still blooming Sandra mine as long since gone!

22 Nov, 2011

Thank you.It was a surprise,Amy..as I had cut them back ages ago,so didn't expect it to flower again..strange year,as we are all finding out..but nice :o)
Carole,I chopped two stems off by mistake, as they were lying on the ground..under a Rose..or else there would have been more to look at !...PS ,two more sleeps ! :o))

Set your alarm ! :o)

Recently discovered this in full bloom in my dad's garden, Bloomer. Was quite puzzled as to its name, at first, but found it on GoY. Interesting, as we didn't plant it. There are now 4 plants in bloom. :-)

22 Nov, 2011

A nice discovery David..a good gap filler..but I do find it needs staking.can be a bit floppy ! :o)

23 Nov, 2011

That was a nice find then David!

It's a classic garden plant Bloomer in my opinion. Surprised that you find it a little "floppy" though.......

24 Nov, 2011

It does seem to be a bit floppy,Meanie..when it's in full flower, and windy,so I just tie some garden twine around them..nuch nicer to look at them upright, than on the ground !..I don't like lying in the muck to see the flowers ! Lol....there's an image to contemplate :o))

Sues is in a pot (it was a "romantic" gift from me a few years ago). I've now got her to adopt my pot watering regime which is to give each pot a good soak in a bucket for a few hours when dry. I wonder if this has any bearing, as her stems go woody quite quickly.............

24 Nov, 2011

I haven't thought of growing them in a pot Meanie...mine don't seem to go woody quickly...They get into quite large clumps,in the ground, and I have split them a few times now,in the spring..and my watering of them,is a bit hit and miss,I'm afraid...do you think they have made too much root in the pot ?

24 Nov, 2011

Not too sure what is going on beneath the soil, but what I do know is that during the first week of the month her bucket has Phostrogen in it (mine has Chempax no.3 in ).

24 Nov, 2011

So it's Ph versus Ch..Meanie.,.whose is doing the best?
I do have decent soil with dug in compost,but apart from that,I don't feed them..what a cruel mum,I am..:o)

24 Nov, 2011

It would be difficult to say, as we have few shared plants.
In fact, I think that it is limited to Iochroma - hers grew a lot more than mine, but mine was in near constant full bloom...................
