Been waiting for you two to get up ! :o)..very boring when everyone is asleep, except me !..thanks...:o))

1 Dec, 2011

lol - I am usually up by 5 30 ;))))))))))))))))))

1 Dec, 2011

I am going through that phase again...been doing ok for a few nights..it was 7.30 one morning ! wow, that is a lay in for me..:o))

1 Dec, 2011

yes me too :D

1 Dec, 2011

Are you not working at the moment,Paul,or have you changed your shift? I seem to remember you used to go about this time...or have you won the Lottery, and kept quiet ?:o))

1 Dec, 2011

That is a real beauty, Bloomer.
I seem to sleep less as I get older, and am regularly awake in the small hours, sitting at the computer to while away the time until it's time to get up and mend the stove and make the tea. At least now I don't have to go out to work, if I'm not too busy I can cat-nap during the day and play catch-up.

1 Dec, 2011

You should have had a chat to me,Homebird..I know we seem to up at the same time .! Thank you,I love this Fuchsia too..bought it a couple of years ago,so second winter inside..got it somewhere cheap..either Lidl,Aldi,or Morrison's..I visit all the classy places ! LOl.
Thanks Gattina..it lives up to it's name:o).I find I'm the same, just wake up at a stupid time..and very rarely get back to sleep..I must admit to cat napping..or a power nap sounds better !If I want to write a blog,or send pics,I find it's the best time for me..so quiet, and brain in gear ! Lol.

1 Dec, 2011

The reason I find it so hard to get back to sleep is that my brain is not only in gear, it goes into overdrive! I mentally make lists of things to do, things to buy, letters to write, frogs to eat (I'll explain THAT one in greater detail some time!) and people to 'phone, and I can almost FEEL the little grey cells whirling round and buzzing, bouncing off the inside of my skull. Exhausting!

1 Dec, 2011

I think most of us are guilty of that,Gattina..not a good thing to do,but it is just in our nature...we had to plan for so long when working, and it doesn't ever leave you..but some things are so silly,it makes you wonder why you thought of them in the first place ! ...I think my grey cells have Botrytis ! ...( spelling ?) Lol.

1 Dec, 2011

Perfect spelling, Bloomer, just not sure about the diagnosis!
I feel I must explain the reference to frogs, whether you want me to or not, otherwise I shall have confirmed your worst suspicions about my levels of sanity. I expect, like most people, there are nasty jobs that I put off for ages, promising myself that today I WILL do them (filling in tax returns, 'phoning someone I can't stand, getting the septic tank sorted, tackling the mess that is the cellar). I read of a book called "Eat that Frog" that proposed the theory of being strong-minded enough to tackle the WORST job on your list FIRST (i.e. as bad as eating a frog), and getting it out of the way. Difficult, but the relief and buzz you get from having got it out of the way carries you forwards with a burst of energy, and you don't mind doing the others on your list of nasties so much. It does work. Honest!

1 Dec, 2011

Mmmmm, that's got me thinking - p'raps I shall have to try and eat a few frogs when I can't get my actions into gear ....

Oh and that's a beauty Bloomer ....

1 Dec, 2011

one of my favourites. have you got this inside?

Beautiful !

1 Dec, 2011

There is no chance of cat naping in our house,as I ive with a whirlwind who has planned what needs doing for each minute of the day! so I stay in bed until 8 oclock to muster energy for the day ahead lol
That is a lovely Fuchsia ;0))

1 Dec, 2011

I was on my way to work at 5.30!!

oh PP ~ i dont live with a whirlwind but I do live with one that likes to have a plan for each minute of the day ~ you have my greatest sympathy, it drives me to distraction.
i wouldnt care if the plan was only for him, but he wants me involved.

1 Dec, 2011

That is a very logical thing to do,Gattina..I can relate to 'eat a frog' ! It certainly is good advice...so,if I am up at that time again tomorrow..I could clean the cooker ? ...on yer bike !...Lol.I might stick to'Always put off till tomorrow,or next week, what you could have done today and go for a pub lunch instead ! '..which is exactly what we did ..:o)

Thanks Terry..and I will send you my frogs as well ..ha ha..

It is inside now for the winter.,Sticki,.but in pots from late May,early June..just depends on the weather..it was a bit late in flowering this year,as most were..but goes on for a long time,as you can see..if I am up at 5.30 again tomorrow,I will think of you..I used to start work early too..not nice in the winter..

Thanks Amy,glad you like it..:o)

Thank you,Carole.oh dear,..does your Whirling Dervish ever rest ? I'm sure you could pop something in his tea or coffee, just long enough to let you have a catnap..:o)

1 Dec, 2011

Let that be our motto,Homebird.Lol.I am the same,as don't want to disturb OH either...We seem to have done a similar thing as you..only we went to the Farm shop to stock up,and had an 'all day breakfast' in their lovely cafe, and called to pick up our daughter and Thomas on the way..so a nice change for her..and then we did some babysitting while she did a bit of Christmas shopping,in peace !..we just had a snack, later this evening ...how lovely to win a Hamper..that was great !All in all,a very nice easy day.:o)..might have Fish and Chips for tea tomorrow :o)).Just had a quick look at your latest blog..your Emily is gorgeous...going to have a proper read now...
