not all of these made it through the summer, it was just so hot and dry.

that's why I liked them, also the hybrid delphiniums don't do well in Georgia because of our hot summers. This is a native. I was just a neglectful waterer this year & that combined with the drought situation we face every summer did them in.
I'm hoping they'll reseed & I hope next year they'll reach their full height!

I have a similar one don't know the name makes loads of seed but never seen it germinate in the garden,could be they get eaten.
Easy germinated in a pot.

good to know. I'll collect the seeds this year.
There's also a very small native larkspur that I've decided to try, but it's one of those springtime bloomers that goes dormant and I have too many springtime bloomers that disappear early! But it needs full shade and that's one thing I do have.

I find if I sow in spring i get repeat flowering July-September

Love these so delicate compared to there hybrid cousins,do they seed around in your garden.
