Oh how I love this Lori!

I love ROCKS! Wait till you see more pics from me you will see the rock work in Idaho!

Talking to my daughter on the phone the other night and my son-in-law told her to ask me if I wanted to go out one day while I'm there rock hunting. WOW what more could I ask for! It will probably be the highlight of my visit! I told them on one condition... they can't let me bring any home!
One trip I went just me and when my husband picked me up at the train station he nearly keeled over! I was hauling rocks back in my luggage and two big black garbage bags of plants I dug up!! You'll notice in the pics of my former home the rock work.
My husband was such a sweetie, anything that made me happy was his fondest desire!
Needless to say that trip retired one peice of luggage to the dump! LOL!

LOL!!! a lady after mine own heart! I cruise the new developments because they often bulldoze the rocks into a pile off to one side...I've found some lovelies that way! I have a piece of limestone from up North that is a fossilized seabed...it has the ripples of the sand bottom in STONE! also found a few less than perfect trilobite fossils and sea cucumber fossils...and on the North shore of Lake Superior I've searched for agates in the stoney beaches... My sister made me a lovely brooch from a polished agate. There is a store in a little town called Shakespeare,( on the way to Stratford (Ontario) where they have the Shakespearian Festival every year...) that is a rockhounds dream...they sell opals, raw. and tigereye..and amethyst... I have a little box of polished riverstone that my father processed. It is an unusual keepsake but a valuable one to me.
