I think you've send the cooler weather and wind my way...today we're expecting a big storm, with highs only to 61ºF/16ºC., which is very cold for this time of year. However, we do so desperately need the rain! :>)

That's ok then, expecially since you need the rain. It was so mild here yesterday. We were walking around outdoors until about 8:30 last night and it felt really nice, like spring.

It's cool today and for the next couple of days, then the warm weather returns on Friday through next week. YAY!

New forecast...cold and really windy here on Corfu. It will only last a few days then back to nice warm weather. It hit parts of Greece really bad, snow storms.

There was quite a bit of snow in our local mountains above 4,000ft/1219m last night. Of course, it'll melt away in another day or two. A lot of people drove up to see the snow.

Soon, very soon, like the weekend if we believe the weather people. The wind is crazy out there now but it's not really that cold.

What....you didn't go see the snow??? Shall I send over my wood burner? ;o)))

I never go up to see the snow...to many crazy people driving up there (who don't know how to drive in snow).

It's pretty cool today...however, by this weekend temps up to about 80ºF/27ºC again! :>))

We sure do have central heating installed in our houses. I used it last night...as it was chilly. Luckily, I don't have to use my heater too often here. This past January I used it maybe only twice.

I have a funny story about my central heater filters. LOL!
I didn't change them for 7 years...and thought the filters would be super filthy. It turned out they were like brand new. That's much the heater has been used over the last 8 years. (I check them every year now, though).

I found a new distraction to keep me from buying MORE seeds (I really over did it). I'm looking up all the different seeds and writing down all the information I can collect. My own little plant journal.

Not gloating. My dad said it could be a potential serious problem not changing the filters...because it can cause a fire, if the filters are really dirty. (I didn't know where the filters were) :>/

That's a good idea to keep a plant journal. I have an old inventory list of all my plants I must up date soon.

You would think filters get really dirty when used. Better be safe than sorry.

I'm enjoying adding to my plant journal (every time I feel the need to buy more seeds or plants). ;o}

That's the problem, I don't know exactly how many times I use the furnace in winter. I go long stretches when I don't use it. :>)

No, my plant journal is making notes on the plants (seeds) that I do own. When the seeds germinate....and there are too many, I will need to know exactly where to plant them and how to treat them.

Example: It is best to plant my Night Flox near the bedroom windows to fully enjoy their scent as it is strongest after dark.

Okay! It's a plant record journal. That's great! I've been wanting to set up a data base in Microsoft Access for recording this type of information. One day. :>)

I'm liking the idea of a handwritten notebook with all my comments as I go....(will be nice to see years from now). I might add some pictures as well.
