Thanks Bjs. I actually bought this one from Thailand. My problem is going to be trying to keep it cool in the summer!
I would looove a heated glasshouse connected to my house!

Bj's - most Paphs prefer cooler conditions and shaded spots (although not dark spots). Mine are all outdoors for the summer, and rebloom for me every year. The thing to remember is that each fan will only bloom once, and a new fan generally needs a couple of seasons to reach maturity.

This answers my old Q about would they thrive after a long trip from Thailand...I may well risk buying some of the Hoya's now.

Meanie
Obviously shows my lack of interest in growing them, should have known they require a fairly temperate climate as the one I had some years ago I brought back from Madeira where they were on sale as cut flowers in the supermarket.

Bjs - plain leaved ones are better in cool conditions, whereas mottled leaved ones like it a little warmer and more shady.
The biggest killer of Paphs is allowing water to settle in the fans causing them to rot out.
Paph.pinnocchio is a common hybrid over here - really forgiving and sequential flowering too.

That's lovely unlike me you have just the right climate for it.You can buy them in flower here but without a heated glasshouse I had no luck in re flowering them.
