Ahh right i got you, these are a lot trickier, do you know they need the bulb to be at least 6 weeks in the fridge salad drawer first to start the process.. sorry if you knew that :-)

When should I do this?
I had no idea!!!

Ok, when the leaves die back trim back to the bulb, lift out brush it down and put in the fridge for at least 6 weeks but not if you have apples though it makes them go sterile ~ i know sadly through experience on that one ~ when you've done 6 weeks or when your ready re-pot and it should re-flower 7-9 weeks later..

Best done which season SL?

i used to start it growth late spring time, unless it's already trying to leaf up now, but it can be done any time really just give it the cold treatment first, that triggers the flowering..

I will withdraw water now. I move house in six weeks, so that will be a good time to stick it in the fridge.
