Primula 'Quaker's Bonnet'

Primula 'Quaker's Bonnet'

Lovely double primula in the ground all year around and always early to flower. In fact, this has been flowering since the autumn - sporadically.

Glad you liked it Shirley...and DD too! Wasn't today gorgeous? I felt it was definitely spring today. After our long (twice around the loch) walk, I planted my Kolkwitzia and sat on my bench. Later I sat outside and read my book...it was a beautiful day. I hope we have more days like that. It was the first day that I felt my garden was 'alive' again! Lots of little yellow tete-a-tete stars all around the borders, the hellebores all nodding, and seeds germinating in the greenhouse! What could be better...:))

Karen, I think you must have had more sunshine than here ... but it was dry enough to give the lawn the first cut of the year ... the garden seems to be mainly mauve and lilac (Crocus) and yellow and orange (Narcissi) but that's fine ... just wonderful to be outside with the Robin singing away in the trees ... gardeners are so easily pleased ... lol! .....

This is a real blessing isn't it Shirley...to be easily pleased by the beauty we see in ordinary every-day miracles.....I really hope I never lose that, because to me, that is happiness :)

Karen, there is no reason why you should ever lose that feeling! ... Just today I smiled at the fat buds appearing on neighbour Johns Clematis ... most of them seem to be my side of the trellis topped fence ... :o)

ha ha! love it! :)) You know, some people would complain if their neighbour's clematis went over their fence! Really!

Yes indeed, we are very fortunate to have good neighbours both sides ... :o)
