Getting closer! They are stunning birds, I don't think I have seen one in this garden.

I am not sure what Prunus this is, but they are hoovering up little bugs on the branches with relish. Coal Tits and Green Finches are on and around it as well Oji.

I get green finches and coal tits, but never one of these. The greenfinches pecked the new buds off my Laburnum last year, so I had no flowers and a distinct loss of leaves. Little brats!

To be fair Oji last winter was so bad I would not begrudge them a few buds...No excuse if they do it this year though ;)

Good shot

the tree looks like Prunus Avium Pimp, Bullfinches are notorious for eating the buds off them, they do on mine...

That sounds interesting - Prunus avium...:). So, it seems they are gourmets :) Well, I read somewhere, that all important essencies which people and animals need after winter, are concentrated in tree buds. There is also a special therapy named after that, unfortunately I do not remember its name.
