They were - practically nothing to trim.

It was how the bamboo we have was - I had to saw it to divide it - thankfully still survived :)))))))))

Bamboo NEEDS to be in a pot! And it's almost impossible to kill!

Meanie:

Cymbidiums love to be crowded! They even bloom best when crowded. If the pot is too big they can rot.

They had to be potted on though as they wouldn't stand up - the slightest breeze skittled them.

You need rocks at the bottom of the pots. This is what I do with all my pots.

I'm hoping that they should be stable now that they're in terracotta pots!

Are they outside in the wind? Because terracotta pots are not heavy enough. I've had many terracotta pots broken or cracked because of wind in the past. :>(

Should be stable enough in their spot compared to plastic pots I reckon.

Very strong plants you have there.
A question, did you sparate the bulbs? If you did, any suggestion how to do it avoiding to broke the roots.
And the last... is there a big problem if you broke the roots, to save the bulbs?

I left them all intact Aleyna. It's always good to be careful with the roots of any orchid to avoid infection.

if you do break a root dust it off with flower of sulphur to help keep it clean, that's what i use...
