Meanie I've been out today and bought a Fritillaria Persica ... pretty purple bell like flowers , the one I bought is still in bud I will put a photo on when it's in flower .. also the helpful assistant tells me it's ideal to grow it in grassy areas outside ..........

My F.persica copped it in the frost! It came through far too early, so next time it'll be in a pot.
The F.imperialis came through only in the last couple of days and looks well. This is in a pot though, so I can take it with me.

I'm glad you've told me that before I've decided where to plant it Meanie , I will have to think again and like you maybe put it in a pot !!

That's what I'm here for Amy - so that you can learn from my mistakes!!
