This is a very common tree or shrub here. All of them have these yellow berries at this time of the year. Photo taken in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on March 21, 2012.

I hope it comes back for you! I know they're pretty tender...although, I think the roots are pretty hardy.

I hope so too Delonix, this will be going indoors with my Plumeria's for the winters.

If it come back from the cold weather, it should be hardy and strong enough to stay in the ground, right?

I pulled it out of the ground after the first frost and put it in a pot indoors. It's been outside now for a couple of weeks (still in its pot).

Well, good luck! It is a very tough plant.

I hope it makes it, I thought it was a tender plant. Too tropical for here maybe???
Everything else has come back to life except my white and yellow Hibiscus. Maybe this week???

Well! I guess you're correct! Duranta is a tropical tree. It is native to south Florida and tropical Mexico and South America. Sometimes I think everything is hardy...most likely because everything is hardy here. lol! :>)

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is a very tropical shrub...although, it can come back from the roots if it freezes to the ground.

I hope so. ;o)
