Hi Kathy, hope you're OK. Lol, he hasnt got a raid in him, doesnt forage at all, just wants to eat breakfast cereal and cat biscuits - must get him some grain.
Good new, at least one of your Sambucus nigra Black Lace cuttings is sprouting :-)

Hi Michaella, he's so tame. We often have ducks on the pond but they always fly off but this one is cheeky. At about 6am this morning he came down to the house quacking away to be fed. The dog chases him, the cats stalk him and he just moves far enough away to be safe, lol.

Obviously you're looking after him too well Dawn :-)). Good news about the sambucus, I have leaves on one of the gold leaved ones you sent me too, think they all have roots (after tipping the pot out to look).
I'm fine thanks hope you're ok, Suzannes just bought a house with her boyfriend so I'm loosing one of my babies, mind you she's only moving 10 minutes down the road, she tells me she'll be home with her washing and ironing and I can do her gardening!!!!! cheeky madam :-))

He's just softening you up, Dawn, and then he will move his wife in - and then the children will arrive. Watch out :)
I'm awaiting hatchlings as Mrs Duck is nesting with me again this year.

Hi Sandra, Sheila - he is very cute.
Oh Gee, how lovely for you, its great when those little ones appear and get on the water almost immediately. Keep me posted on their progress. We've had them in the past but sadly diminish thanks to the fox.
Hi Kathy, glad your yellow elders are doing well too. Suzanne is all grown up now, bless, good look with her washing etc.
Hi Amy, nice isnt he but he is getting rather cheeky. He came in the house yesterday, in the kitchen, quacking away, I feel a bit guilty as I feel someone has lost him. He turns his nose up at robin feed, tut, he loves cat biscuits. Bonnie and the cats are still chasing him but he moves or flies far enough away to avoid them. Oh dear, another mouth to feed ... hope he stays a while and returns with a mate. Wildlife sadly comes and goes though, as you know with snowball and fudge.

That is funny Dawn LOL I can just see him taking over your kitchen , fussy little blighter isn't he ? I would think that if he had come from somewhere else he would know his way back if he wanted to go ,they have good memories for things like that , Gees ducks always go back to her garden , don't worry about it he must like your garden best of all :o)
