The Acer compliments the formality of your pond very nicely!

I do wish it would stop raining! We're just starting some decking at the very bottom of the garden for sunbathing on. The stone flag patio looses light late afternoon and WE NEED SUN :-)

I know Nigel....it's awful isn't it. We've had a lovely sunny day here today, but so windy and cold, really cold. I can't believe it is almost May. The big trees are hardly showing any sign of breaking their buds at all....it has been a really cold month and yes, we need some warmth now, and so do the plants! Lets hope it will soon change and you can enjoy your new decking! :)

Is that an Acer I see in the foreground? My favourite tree. I have to say Nigel, you live in a beautifully serene spot. I have never been to Surrey but I'm sure it's eyecatching!

Thanks Sue. Yes, one of four Acers actually, some in pots and some fully grown. By the way, we don't live in Surry, we live in Sheffield :-)
