One of two members of the poppy family bought t SRGC show. They could not be more different. This one will have blue flowers and is a good starter plant if you have never grown them before - like me.

I was advised to cut out the flower without letting it open as this is its first year and give it a chance to establish itself. It is a perennial.

Have tried these, but never been successful. They are so beautiful, the blue ones.

Sticki when the chap told me to cut out the flower this year I said I could not see one but apparently it is too early for flowers yet. Maybe there is still plenty of time for yours to come away with flowers this year. The poor plants don't know whether they are coming or going because one day its summer and next its back to winter again.

I love these....I've lost mine completely this year - no sign at all :((
An old lady customer of mine had a garden full of these every spring - it was such a show!!

They do seem to be very choosey about where they live, a bit like cats really. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it survives.
