I remember walking in the woods in Wales with my then young family & wondered why I could smell garlic, I never realised there was such a plant. Being a garlic lover I have wondered if it is worth growing for its culinary flavour, is it strong would you know? Clearly a rampant plant.

Beautiful Lulu...just the sort of place I love to be! Bampy, they were using this today on Saturday kitchen, so it must be good to eat. I didn't see them making the recipe, but I guess it might be on the internet?

That would make a smashing painting. I have used wild garlic in cooking, its not so strong as the one you buy in the shops:)

they made pesto with it i think karen? they also said if you know a place where it grows ~ dont tell anyone ~ clearly its very popular, particularly with chefs, at the moment!!!

I just love when the white garlic flower comes out. I believe it kills off the bluebells tho'. Wouldn't like it in my garden. :o))

I noticed it has crept under the tarmac and is now growing under our hedge!! Don't really want it in my flower beds...

There was a TV programme where they photographed a beautiful bluebell wood which had been completely changed by garlic taking over.....beware!
