I just adore this shrub. Its a little bit scrubby in habit, but the colours are gorgeous. Used to be called 'Stransvaesia Davidiana'

Beautiful, Karen . . . I adore it too, and have one which has never grown more than 3 ft. It took me YEARS to find out its name (it was in the garden when we came); I even took a sprig to Wisley, and it foxed the experts! Telling me the 'previous' name, has cleared up all the mystery for me - thanks. :)))

I see that this one is actually called 'palette' Sheila. There is another one that is green only. The eventual height is 5m X 3m wide, but it is only frost hardy, which could explain why ours are so slow to gain any stature! Now, I never knew that it wasn't hardy!
