Salmon coloured Aquilegia

this is the first time of flowering for this, i grew a mixed bag of them all different colours and all scented, normally don't do a mix bag but i wanted a whole border full of colour and scent....

Love these. Grannies' Bonnets. Maybe that's just a local name, but it suits them.

Thanks Karen yes really small i would say half the normal size flower but it makes it up on quantity of flowers and flower stems...

I still call them Columbine's and like the leaf as well as the flower...not noticed flowers on mine yet.

I have these too SL, also have lots of different colours as they self seeded all over the place! Very pretty - I love them. :D

I have them all over the place now and am trying to introduce more all the time. They are great 'between spring and summer' plants aren't they? I love them, but I am a bit choosy about them as well. I'm not fond of the big hybrid ones with two colours in the flower.

I have always loved Aquilegias and have put a lot in my gravel area this year , yours are ahead of mine Slad I can only see buds so far ........
