I think they are suited growing next to water. I have one stuck in a corner - one day it will get too big and I'll have to move!! (That's just given me an idea :))
I bought a rescue one last year for £2 from the GC - no nursing it back to health - binned it a few weeks ago!

I don't think they grow too big K....suitable for 'small gardens' by all accounts. Just don't make the same mistake I made and had it stuck in a corner - you will notice I used past tense - dug mine out and moved it today!! Not ideal - but as it got a bit battered when the fencing fell down at New Year - don't think I've got anything to lose! :)
