I love our ferns, we used to have a fernery in our old garden, so we bought most of them with us when we moved....

They are lovely. I would like to try a Dicksonia...I could try one in the heuchera garden couldn't I....but I would have to protect it well in winter. I wonder if any scottish gardeners are growing one....hmmm....

I have two Dicksonias but very small, saw a beauty the other day was tempted only £80.00 and it was over 3ft tall....we have to keep them covered even in the South, my friend has just lost 15 fronds over the winter and it was fleeced and well protected.

Hmm...don't think I'll bother then....you do see them in GC up here, but they always end up in the sale. Nobody buys them!

Yes, he probably could...collecting tree ferns all the way down the A1! :))))
