I love this one to, very much like the one I have but not in flower yet, lots of small buds though!

This is beautiful! I feel like im missing out on so much colour! I only have yellow and green in my garden-not just the dandelions! Are peonies like big bushes? Whens best to plant a bulb/seed to get it to flower next year? :D

Thankyou everyone, just love this one, first time its flowered and only the one flower this year, but it can only get better now.
They can grow into huge bushes Leigh, with up to 50 or more blooms when mature, you can prune them to keep to the size you want though, they are available in garden centres now but are quite expensive,very hardy plants, I bought mine from an offer in a daily paper and they came bare root, only £14.99 for 5!!! so a real bargain, you can pay more than that for 1 normally,you could grow from seed but not something I've ever tried can be a bit tricky I think, and they'd take years to flower, here's a link with info about them :-)

There are herbaceous peonies that flower a bit later, they're much cheaper to buy, you often see them in garden centres and sometimes wilkinsons, as dry rhizomes ready for planting :-)
